Compact Central Vacuums For Your Boat

Sand from the dock, salt off the deck, and crumbs in a tight cabin. A boat collects mess fast, and a bulky vacuum is the last thing you want to store aboard. InterVac packs real central-vacuum power into a body small enough for a berth or a locker, and one light hose reaches from the cockpit to the cabin.

Made For The Water

Built For Sand, Salt, And Tight Cabins

The marine environment is unforgiving. Space is tight, salt air gets into everything, and you are always cleaning up sand and grit that came aboard. InterVac was designed for exactly these conditions: a compact, sealed system that mounts out of the way and still has the suction to clean the whole boat on one hose.

  • Fits A Berth Or Cabin. The compact body mounts inside a locker or berth base, out of the way.
  • Reaches Deck To Cabin. One stretch hose covers the cockpit, cabin and galley without hauling a machine.
  • Powerful For Sand And Debris. Strong suction pulls sand, salt crystals and damp grit with ease.
  • HEPA Filtration. Traps fine dust instead of recirculating it through a closed cabin.

Buyer's Guide

Choosing A Marine Vacuum

Three things matter most when you put a built-in vacuum on a boat. Here is how to weigh each one.

Corrosion & Saltwater Considerations

Salt air is hard on everything aboard. Mount the unit in a dry, protected spot away from direct spray, and replace the bag regularly to keep it breathing well. InterVac uses sealed components built for marine use, though no electronics are fully corrosion-proof.

Cabin Size & Hose Reach

Smaller cabins and day boats do great with a compact unit like the CS8 or H-120-E. Larger boats with a galley and separate cabins benefit from the remote-mount CSRM, which adds reach so one hose still covers deck to cabin.

Installation In A Boat

Pick a dry, accessible mounting spot, run the hose tubing to your inlet, and wire it to power. Many owners install it themselves, and a marine technician can do it quickly. Not sure where it should go? Call us with your layout and we will help.

Marine Vacuum FAQ

Questions Boat Owners Ask

Is There A Central Vacuum Built For Saltwater Boats?
Yes. InterVac systems are made for the marine environment, with sealed components and a compact body that mounts inside a cabin or berth where it is protected from spray. We do not claim a vacuum is fully corrosion-proof, because no electronics are, but these are built to live on a boat and hold up to the conditions. If you have a specific marine setup in mind, call us and we will help you mount it in the right spot.
Will It Handle Sand And Water?
It handles sand, salt crystals, crumbs and the everyday grit that comes aboard with no trouble. For wet messes, treat it like any vacuum and pick up standing water with a towel first, then vacuum the damp grit and sand. The strong suction makes quick work of a sandy cockpit or cabin sole.
How Much Space Does It Need In A Cabin?
Very little. The whole point of an InterVac is a compact body that fits inside a berth base, a locker, or a small cabinet. The power unit stays mounted and out of the way, and you clean with one light hose. Send us a photo of where you want to mount it and we will tell you what fits your boat.
Can I Install It Myself On A Boat?
Many boat owners do. You mount the power unit in a dry, protected spot, run the hose tubing to your inlet, and wire it to power. A marine technician can also handle the install quickly. We include instructions, and our team in Palm City will walk you through your specific layout over the phone.
What About Corrosion Over Time?
Salt air is hard on everything aboard, so we build with sealed components and recommend mounting the unit in a dry, protected location away from direct spray. Replacing the bag regularly keeps the system breathing well and clean. We will not overpromise that any electronic vacuum is immune to salt over many years, but mounted and maintained correctly these hold up well in marine use.
